Feb 7 Cheongpyeong Sledding & Icefish Festival

Let’s have some fun with icy fishing as well as snow and ice related activities this winter.

This time we will be going to the Cheongpyeong Sledding & Icefish Festival. The festival venue being located at the foot of Bukhangang River, lives up to ‘Ecopia’, Gapyeong’s vision of harmony between nature and humans.

• Thanks to the expressway and the subway route connecting to Seoul and Chuncheon, it takes only about 30 minutes to reach Gapyeong. Here, visitors can take in the scenery of the majestic mountains, lakes and the clear waters from Bukhangang River. What a fun time it will be and lots of fun is guaranteed and you will be able to enjoy interesting icy activities as well as beautiful wintry snow scenery.

• Programs and /prticipation fees
  Trout fishing: 12,000 won
  Icefish catching: 10,000 won
  Bard hand fishing : 15,000 won
  Ice sledding (per person) 3,000 won
  Snow sledding 5,000 won
  ATV: 10,000 won
  Thomas train: 4,000 won
  etc
  You will have a chance to try ice fishing and also there is an opportunity for those who like the adventure of catching fish with bare hands in the pool.
  Grabbed or lured, you can eat raw or grilled mountain trout and which way you eat it will be delicious. You can catch a maximum of 2 fishes.
  You can take in other activities such as ATV, train etc. It is going to be your life time experience while you are staying in Korea.
  Note: There is no fee paid to us but you pay what activity you get involved in at the festival.
  What to bring: Warm clothes, proper winter shoes, towel, water, gloves, extra socks,some snacks, lunch, toiletries and camera etc.
